I was changing the oil on my truck and noticed oil build up on the alternator and bottom of the motor and cross member. Has anyone else had this and have an idea where to start looking.

Pretty hard to diagnose from just your description, if you can take some pics it might help us pinpoint the problem. Also, welcome to the forum.

Most likely coming from the engine. I would spray down with Gunk and hose off. Run it and start looking. Or take to mechanic. They do make a dye to add to engine to show leak. Or just live with it.
