I backed in to a parking spot next to a curb and when I left I was in a hurry. This is the result! First ding in my new truck!:frusty:

Is this easily fixed, or will it always be a different color/shade of paint from the rest of the rim?

It can be fixed but it’ll cost around $300 or more

If you really want to fix it, there are guys who travel around to car dealerships and specialize in nothing but mobile wheel repair. Simply ask your local dealers for contact info and give them a shout.

Use a dremel tool to gently smooth the the gouges. Spray some primer in a cup and use a very small paint brush to apply it. Then use black touch up paint. You'd have to put your face inches from the wheel to see it.

Use a sharpie. Not the most permanent fix, but it takes the casual observer's eye off it.

Ouch! We called that the Hunters Pinstriping back in the day. My truck doesn't see the offroad as much these days.

I scoffed a wheel too last summer on curb. Also got tire. I got the wheel looking pretty good. Had to put new tire on it. Tire cost me about $320. But I was able to use little over $100 in discover card points, so it didn't hurt so hard.

My first was pretty bad too. I was doing a U-turn and couldn't make it all the way but was lazy to stop and back up that I just went over the curb because... Truck. Oops. I just sanded it down a little and sharpied it... Can't honestly tell unless you're really looking for it.
