04 was the offical last year of that engines production, was put into the last 05 square body Cheerokees before they killed that off and ruined it. My family was die hard jeep growing up, then corporate bulshit started and killed off the only true American UTV. Now they're just status symbols that can't get out of their own way

It may have, my memory isnt what it used to be, like before the Navy. Hell theres days I cant remember if I ate breakfast or not, and I know I've forgotten more about the VR6 platform than most know or than I can remember..... Its sad really

 

That one reminds me of the Holden Monaro SU, which is basically a mini truck LS-loaded version of the late Pontiac GTO.

I always wanted those to come to US as a rebadge. Would've been the perfect Chevy El Camino SS

 

If they would've had one with a bed here in the US, I'd have bought it. Biggest mistake GM made was only selling the GTO coupe domestically. Those things were light years better looking than the Chevy SSR and I bet would've actually been a good sell for GM, maybe Pontiac would still be around...

Naw, I'd like the ute. There was a GTO SS though. I wonder how much it'd have cost to get a ute body imported. I guess at this point it'd be just as smart to relocate the entire car, now they're 20+ years old. I hate RHD though.

The Chevy SS was a cool Holden too. Commodore. Pretty sure the Pontiac G8 as well

 

Its not just the body its the floor pans as well. There were 3 that I can remember on 2 differnt bases. 2 were conversions a GTO and G8 converted back to Holdens, and there was a spec war guy on Little Creek who brought back an LS UTE.

Story is he was there for some training went to a dealership bought it and shipped it home all in a 90 day window. It was white with black racing stripes and corvette wheels. I seen it a few times, never got to talk to the guy tho.

 

I've seen the charger wagon conversion in houston on the freeway, after it was stolen.

i'd like to have one of those magnums, but wouldnt wanna pay money for one.

 

Magnum with a Challenger front clip would be sick haha.. I wouldn't pay money for a Chrysler product either.
