I'm gonna agree with the new guy. The search on here sucks. If you search something simple like say "engine miss", it'll bring up anything that has "engine", "miss", AND any words that have "miss" in them. Such as Mississippi(MI).

Ironicly that's my background/trade, Carpenter. Haven't done much of it the last 20 or so years, but was licensed general. I've torn into shit like that where paint was all that was keeping it together. Paint ain't fixing this girl, she'll be good until she isn't.
So do you really have the oldest 1st gen here?? Mine is 10/99.

How did that pop up in your search? That thing has been rode hard and put away wet. There is a Double Cab for sale near me with a blown engine. $2,500 OBO. Frame looks good. It's tempting.

Yes, have used extensively at work, don't have a home unit. Real game changer... that and a welder.
If I ever do my exhaust manifolds I think I'll try to get those past the "budgetary department" as essential purchases.

I was trying to help. Once you start using the search function correctly it works well. I can't tell you the last time I even looked at someone's post count. I couldn't care less. We have people that come and go and maybe two dozen "regulars". If you post often enough for me to remember your user name or profile picture then you're doing better than most.

Not sure. Search algorithms pretty much have me figured out. Has the word “tundra” and is relatively cheap.

Sounds like a decent deal to me. Still looking for a good condition 100 series so I can semi-identify as a 1GT. Although I’m not sure how you all feel about those

From one of the few people that have a disc brake upgrade on, your money is better spent on doing the front brakes first and master cylinder before doing rear discs, since that's where most of the braking comes from. There's a good chance you won't see much of an upgrade, or your brakes could perform even worse due to the stock M/C not providing enough fluid for the rear calipers. The Sequoias that have rear discs have a larger bore master cylinder than the Tundras, which moves more fluid with less pedal effort. You could likely use a T-100 booster and M/C too.

L/T Truck for $8,500. Take the kit off, swap in some 5100s, then sell the truck and sell your M/T kit separately and you could maybe end up ahead. Looks like they cut the shock towers on it though.

Total Chaos kit with shocks and spindles for $4k. Can't tell if they're the later spindles though.

OEM+, 6+1 bastard pack, 4.08 swapped rear end, custom spring shackles, 3 inch flat lift. This list will grow
It sure aint. A "bolt on" kit is about 900 to 1500, and a good condition used axle is 650 to 900 shipped, plus you either modding it yourself or having shop make it work. But at the end of the day you dont have to adjust a drum and shoe set every xxxx miles.

I would probably offer less than $8k for it, but still probably $6-8k with the LT removed I would guess.

Do you know what year range for them would have the WL's? I've noticed there are more of those in junkyards versus later model 1st gen tundras.

When I search toyotas parts website interestingly enough it gives different part numbers for an 2006 Sequoias vs 06 tundra

    Tundra: 47750-0C022-84 & 47730-0C022-84
    Sequoias: 47750-34030-84 & 47730-34030-84

I wonder why the different part numbers?

If you want a Sequoia axle, might as well get a bed cage, coilovers and 4 link too.

Not bad. Can’t tell if they’re 4wd spindles either
I assume you mean that one in particular. Des may be right for that @ $6-8, but my truck is also a 2wd non LT with 200+k miles and I know worth more than that. I’ve spent more on everything else than a LT kit would cost tho
    settle down @RUSTYNUTS
