    Will the nav work in a 2021 "non-nav" sr5?

Just upgraded my 2018 SR5 non nav to one like this with the harness from autoharnesshouse.com. Works like a charm, great upgrade if you want to keep the stock look and a great price. Good luck with sale, will probably go quick at that price!

What would I need to make this work in a JBL ‘19 1794? I know the JBL version requires also replacing the amp with the ‘20-21 version.

I researched quite a bit and did read that if you have a JBL unit already and wanted to upgrade to a 20-21 JBL it requires you to purchase a 20-21 JBL amp for that unit to even work. Unfortunately I did not see much on downgrading to a non-JBL unit. Autoharnesshouse.com does advise you that a JBL unit model will not work with the harness they sell and they ask you to call them.

Also, if you do purchase a harness from them, I highly suggest you spend the extra money on the Entune 2.0 to 3.0 adapter. It completes the upgrade on your USB plug on the dash near your outlets which will work with the new head unit and allow Apple Carplay or Android Auto wired.

Then if you want to go wireless, go on Amazon and buy a wireless adapter which plugs into the USB. That adapter will sync with your phone wirelessly and will then run Android Auto or Carplay.

How much is the harness at autoharness? And how long did it take to switch out and install the new head unit?

The harness was a bit pricey, $190 harness alone, $60 for USB 2.0 to 3.0 adapter. Took not kidding about 5-10 minutes to do the swap. Just be aware, there are no instructions for the new harness. It's all plug and play and they all fit where they are supposed to. I plugged everything into the replacement stereo, then took out my old head unit and just plugged everything else to the other end of the new harness.

So it depends. My former head unit had no GPS, but was the Entune system with Scout GPS. If you have this unit, then your vehicle has GPS wired already, but no GPS head unit. You should be ok if this is your case.

If you have the basic Entune, small screen unit, with minimum features, then you have no pre wire for GPS and would more than likely need an antenna.

Here is a video that provided me all that info:
