Hi all, have owned 4WD Tundra for 6 months and really like the truck so far. The only issue I have right now is the screen for the entertainment system won't turn on. I have two young kids so I would like to get it fixed. I couldn't find a thread on it. Has anyone else had issues? The previous owner of the truck sent me with an aftermarket one as replacement. Should I try to swap systems and see if that works? Or should I just take it to MrTunes and see if they can get the factory system fixed?

Sounds like the PO knew there was an issue and set you up with a replacement. I would install it (or have it installed). Maybe take it to MrTunes and see if the problem can be fixed? If not, have them install the new one while it's apart. The old kill two birds thing. I assume you've checked all of the obvious things? Fuses, etc. I also think we're talking about a 19 year old screen. Could simply be done, kaputz...

I would try swapping, it's plug and play and is roughtly half a dozen screws to make the install happen.

I am not familiar with "MrTunes". Maybe they're more reputable than, say, a Best Buy installer. I'm telling you this as someone who worked at an install shop many moons ago, I've seen what shops like Best Buy will do to your shit, b/c the owner came to us to fix it.

Swap the heads out yourself, it's plug and play. If the issue persists, you know it's something in the wiring, take it to a pro.
