I just want a muffler really. I can cut the old one out and weld in the new one. I just don’t know the size of the 2 in and 1 out.

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the 2 exhaust tubes into the muffler and the 1 tube out of the muffler? Trying to buy a flowmaster but don’t know what diameter I need. Google isn’t trust worthy anymore.

Just an FYI Flowmaster is not good on these trucks. You will lose low end torque.

Congrats on your Tundra purchase! I’m new here as well. I installed a Flowmaster 40 series and then fabbed up a dual SS side exit with 4” tips. This thing sounds like a NASCAR when you punch it. Couldn’t be happier.

nice looks good. Yeah I’m definitely going flowmaster super 40 I think. They sound the best on the tundras.

@dirtydeeds any suggestions on a nice deep sounding muffler and what size inlet and outlet do I need? Thanks!

Give Keith @dirtydeeds a call and he'll answer any questions you have. He's the resident Tundra exhaust expert and has perfected his systems that are custom made for our trucks. I have had his 10" system for years and couldn't be happier.
And congrats on the new rig!

Since nobody wants to answer this… 2.25” inlet and 3” outlet. But the 2.25 is a little wonky. I’ve seen guys order the dual 2.5 in and slip them over the stock exhaust instead of butting the joint.

okay cool. Yeah that’s probably what I’ll do. There will be an 1/8” gap around to fill in. Not too bad. Thanks for answering!

I actually got the 10 series and not the 40. Dual 2.25” inlets and dual 2.25” outlets. I fabbed up tubing from a bunch of SS pcs I purchased as well as the flanges to mate up to the stk exh flanges.

These were the tips I purchased, but they seem to no longer be available. If you have a welder, or access to someone who does, it’s not that big of a deal to make up an exh system. I figure for the cat back system I fabbed up it was around CAN$450 using mandrel bent SS tubing of which I have quite a bit left over. These tips were about CAN$90 for the pair IIRC and were of decent quality.

yeah I’m gonna do an axle dump anyways so I don’t need tips. I like the sound of the 40 better than the 10. The 10 seems a little more raspy to me. I like the deeper sound.
