Hey everyone. I realize there are many threads on here comparing the Trd pro bilsteins to the fox shocks. However there is a question that I have that I can’t see a clear answer for.
The question is, is there a difference in ride height between the bilsteins and fox shocks in the front? I’m assuming no. I would think that all years of Trd pro had a 2 inch lift in the front. But I’ve seen some people say that the fox shocks offer 2.5 inches in the front.

The reason I have this question is that I believe my bilsteins are almost due for replacement on my 2015. I recently added a leaf in the rear of my truck which gave me a bit more rake than I anticipated. I was thinking of adding .250 inch coachbuilder strut spacers to give myself an extra half inch in the front. However if the fox shocks themselves will offer an extra half inch I would opt for this instead.

I purchased some TRD Pro Fox take offs. When installed, I gained exactly 1.5". So, there's that for you.

Yes, but you were going the older style Bilstein Pro shocks to the newer Fox Pro shocks.

Billy, what shocks were on the truck before you put on the Fox Pro shocks?

    TRD Sport package shocks.
Yeah, I went from shorter to longer. He should be going for an even match. But maybe not. People always say it's a 2" difference on the Pro models from the other models. But, it's definitely not always a full 2". I believe he's hoping to be at 2.5" by just adding the Fox shock vs his Bilstein shock. I don't think that's going to happen. He could potentially even come out with less lift.

In my case, I had them rebuilt before installing them, so they are fresh. They were super low mile to begin with.
