The new truck is better than the 2018. Ive had very minor issues and question a lot of the nah sayers that post negative opinions on it . That being said , if the 2018 is working for you then keep it OR if you want the new one then go for it .

I like my truck but its an expensive beast - platinum hybrid . But I don't keep my trucks for more then 3 years anyway .

The 2018 is an easy million mile truck .

going from a 2018 platinum crew. great truck with nothing really wrong with it. 1 minor nit pick was the rear passenger seat was rubbbing in the corner of the painted cab causing a squeak.

outside of that, it was a perfect truck.

2023 tundra plat non HV. great truck, minor recalls but that hasnt been an issue for us. love the heated steering wheel, way better seat heaters, interior warms up way faster than the 2018 (had to remote start it min twice during cold snaps to get the windshield to defrost), better trans, better get up and go, better tech. overall great truck but baseline the 2018 was a better truck, but its the wife daily driver so the creature comforts are way better on the 2023 which matters to her.

    2023 minor annoyances

    1. gas gauge resets randomly to full
    2. the avs suspension seems to us to be worse than the 2018
    3. miss the full fold up seats on the 2018 but no under seat storage (better for the dogs to roam in the back seat area, 2023 you get under seat storage but you lose the open space for dogs and the seat dont work folding up since you have that storage area)

interior wise 2018 and 2023 are equal (technically the 2023 seating area's is slightly smaller than the 2018 in the rear)

we love the upgrade for our what we want out of it which doesnt fit the norm for most buyers of the tundra, so take that with a grain of salt.
