    Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and new to the Tundra. I was hoping someone can shed some light or point me in the right direction.

How do you install a back rack with a bed cover? It doesn't seem possible. Oh, did I ever overlook that one when I got this truck.

If anyone can please share some ideas and options, I would greatly appreciate it.

    2023 Tundra Limited Crewmax TRD

    Thank you!
    J

When you say "Back Rack" are we talking headache rack, or racks for carrying ladders, surfboards, SUP's, etc.?

I went with Elevate T-Slot rails and racks with my Bakflip Tri-Fold tonneau and I'm very happy with it.

    I think he means this.

On their website, there’s a model with a tonneau cover. Other that that, I’ll say you have to get a cover with slots like SD Surfer has.

Edit: just looked and the trace rack isn’t available for Tundras. I think you need one with slots and a flip or rolling cover.

I appreciate quick responses. Occasionally, I need to move a ladder, occasionally two at a time. However, I've noticed that overhead ladder racks tend to generate excessive noise while driving and also restrict height clearances. If I understand correctly, due to the T-slot system, using a headache or backrack system might not be compatible with having a cover....

    Welcome from Paradise!

I went with the retrax pro bed cover which has t slots for adding most accessories. i am not aware of anything that can marry with a head ache rack, but I can haul lumber, ladders and kayaks without an issue.
