Sheesh that's steep. There are a lot of DIY things on this kind of set up. If you're handy, it my benefit you by building one yourself.

It doesn't have any measurements but here is one build. https://www.reddit.com/r/overlanding/comments/y0dctx/finished_my_drawers_this_weekend_for_the_sequoia/

Flagstaff fits the bill pretty well. Late spring would be best time of the year into summer, flagstaff stays a comfortable temp most of the summer

Yeah, I'm not an Arizona resident, so I didn't dare answer up until Toast of Tucson did, but I concur: Flagstaff with side trips to the Grand Canyon or Sedona (one day max each).

@rock climber yeah I am familiar with their products, very nice, but very pricey.

I'm not a hardcore "wheeler" per se. Mostly FS roads, double track and some light duty trails.

I agree with the previous comments. Not sure if you're aware, but every April they do Tundras to Sedona. Several of us from the forum went.
Last year my wife and I made the drive from TN. We visited Flagstaff, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Williams, Winslow and the Petrified Forest. Highly recommend a stop there since they didn't mention it yet.

When we go back, we'd like to see Page, The North Rim and the Vermilion Cliffs.

Yep, a week or two ago. Someone on Reddit showed that a cluster of Eid balloons fit the silhouette of that thing nicely. There's another angle of it, and strangely, somebody somewhere else in the world may have footage that's similar. The weird part is, it always seems to be the same shape and move in straight lines. And heat signatures were all over the place, pulsing. It also disappeared in a perfect 90° vertical into the water on the clip your screenshot is from? I'm not buying it. Looks like some fabricated shit.

Makes me sad. I'm getting laid off at the worst possible time to make T2S this year. Perfect timing because wtf else am I gonna do?! Bad timing because I won't have paid vacation to use and need to be hunting for a new gig instead :(

So your suspicions were right? Sorry dude. That's rough. No severance after all those years? This year they aren't going to Sedona so you won't miss out there. The new location they picked doesn't appeal to me.

You and I should go camping in North GA once the weather improves. I like the spot I found but there are others I want to check out.

Nope, it's fucking awesome. Been waiting for this for years, since late 2018-early 2019. I've almost left twice already, now I'm getting paid to leave. They're taking care of me, it looks like. I need to sign off on severance a couple of weeks from now before I'm confident, I'm staying on a few xtra wks for reasons explained below.

Yup, got notified like mid-2nd week of January. Out date was originally 1/31, but I explained how they were shooting themselves in the foot, and the C-level agreed, and opted to keep me on for another 3 paychecks, til 3/15. Severance is good, roughly 1wk per year of service, which puts me shy of 6mos. Plus vacay buyout. Plus potential bonus, although the company isn't doing great these last couple of years, hence layoffs. Boss gave me free reign to sell off quite a few things we're otherwise liquidating/e-recycling, so that was nice bonus too.

Talked w/our financial adv today, he agreed, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a breather before starting my final short leg to retirement, "you should capitalize on it, and if you can afford to stuff 75%+ of your last three checks into your 401k, do it, then when your confirmed offer comes in, let's stuff that severance into a CD or similar pulling 5-6% over 12-18mos..."

Camping sounds good. I can definitely swing that. We're dragging the kids to St George in FL in late Feb. I have a few things to hash out between 3/15-4/15, one of which will be getting my Leer refinished. Taking kids to Amsterdam in May. I already have two solid job prospects, so my time off may not be long. It may just be me and the dog, though. I'm not gonna hammer you guys with the kids, and a maiden voyage with the truck and whatever camping gear I get setup in May is what I've been needing to get it ready for us two adults. When temps warm, the kids will probably tent while we bed.

It would be, but I really need to strike while the iron is hot, got two solid prospects right now, and a ton of travel that's going to leave me unable to manage interviews and whatnot, adding to that is not ideal.

On the topic of first gen wheel bearings, is it better to replace just the bearing or go with a completely new hub assembly?

If I didn't have Bruce (local mechanic) local to me, and was looking to do the work myself... I'd buy new assemblies, and drop em in.

Bruce has a shop press, and gives me good rates for jobs I don't wanna do, or can't do since he has all the tools, and knowledge. He saves me the headache and cost of "single use tools."

We all need a Bruce in our lives. Too bad Bruces are so damn hard to find these days! We all need to move to KY.

Man, I have enough problems, I don't need a plane to be one of 'em

Good call. I forgot about those.

I saw a bunch of different videos of similar Jellyfish UAPs. But today is the first I've heard about it from a podcast.
