I just helped my father-in-law close on a deal with his platinum hybrid. Not sure if it’s a good deal or not but we talked them down to invoice + TTL. Not sure of demand over there on the SE area, but that’s what we got in UT.

I think the deals are out there if you are willing to locate a dealership that’s willing to play and visit multiple ones.

Thank you Brandisher. At least tells me they are negotiating. Where did you get your invoice pricing figures from?

Sales manager printed out a sheet and showed us the invoice numbers.

Tundra platinum with package MSRP was 76.2k + TTL. I kept pushing for 76.2k OTD, then the sales manager brought out the invoice sheet and told me no because invoice was 71ish and selling at MSRP as the OTD would be a “loss” for them so we settled on invoice + TTL. They did get me on the stupid paint protection chemical, but didn’t care. Took off over 4,800 from the MSRP price. Figured I’m not going to fight them for that extra 500.

Also, Toyota is doing a deal here on financing if that’s the route you are going. 60 months or less in UT was 4.99% and 72 months is 5.99% for top rate credit. Our credit unions here are 6.99% so it was nice to save 2%. Food for thought.
