I bought a new to me 2020 Tundra with 26k miles. It looks like per the Carfax it was put inservice around 03/2020. I’m past the 3yr 36k warranty. Am I able to still buy a Toyota extended warranty?

I do not believe this is correct. Where are you getting this information?

At least when I spoke with Jerry, the person responsible for many people on this site, including myself, buying Toyota warranties, he said I had to be under both 3 years and 36,000 miles.

OP, I will forward you the info and you can lookk into it.

If you think about it, Toyota certifies their own brand for 100k. There are are also aftermarket warranty companies

Not the same thing at all. The 100K warranty is for the drivetrain. The extended Toyota warranties cover what the 3yr/36k covers, which is a great deal more, for up to 10yr/125K depending on what is purchased. Aftermarket warranties are not Toyota warranties, and generally considered to be a waste of money.

OP, I sent you a PM.

I emailed the contact given, if I don’t get a reply after a week or two I’ll give him a call. Given the holidays I’m sure he’s off some.

I got ahold of Jerry, he said since I’m outside of the 3yr/36k warranty that I could get a Toyota Platinum 5yr/60k miles warranty. The 60k is in addition to what the odometer currently is at. Jerry is not able to sell that warranty out of state and it requires an inspection by the in-state selling dealer.

Just a heads up for anyone else who come across this in the future.
