    A4, A6 and S7 in the family. The A4 and A6 were quite a few years ago and had some electrical gremlins that nobody ever figured out. Both became unreliable enough to get rid of them. The S7 was a rocketship and a VERY fun car to drive. My brother traded it in last month on a Rivian SUv that he had on order for close to two years. The Rivian is a BEAST. No problems with the s7 except that it was unconscionably expensive for routine maintenance and repair. Wife had a jetta that went into limp mode every time it rained. Would shut off on the highway intermittently. Got rid of it quick.

    Just getting started (Nov 2022)
    Had an A6 sedan with the supercharger (not turbo). I loved that car, but after 2 years the wife was afraid to park it in downtown small parking garages. Absolutely awesome performing engine with one maintenance caveat - be aware of the FSI Direct Injection engines. That engine design has a history of carbon build up which needs to be cleaned out every so often. Iirc, its around a $1K service cost. Wasn't a deal killer for me, but something to budget for occasionally. I've had several BMWs and really enjoy the german engineering and handling and thought the Audi was in the same league. I would own one again without hesitation.

    I don’t buy or own Audis, but I have two friends who are die hard Audi fans. 4.2, 3.2, and 3.0T are solid. But the 2.0ts they’ve gotten have never failed to burn oil, which lead to them getting new cars. And consequently the new 2.0t they got eventually starts burning oil too. Not too sure of the newest iteration of the 2.0 motor. The newest one that burned was a 2016 A6. His new car is a 21 A4.

    I can’t say BMW and Mercedes is any better. I really think the factory service interval is stretched too far for these small turbo motors. They really don’t account that most folk (atleast east coast) don’t often drive far enough to completely warm up the engine in the winter. This leads to oil dilution, which in turn slowly wrecks the motor.
