I prefer the (Toyota OE) Black Inserts for the "Tundra" emboss on tailgate, and also the Black cap cover for "4x4" on tailgate. I have just purchased a 2020 White Crewmax 1794 Edition and will be adding these in a few days.

My question regards the BLACK TUNDRA raised letters that typically come on the front doors of Tundra Limited models, but not on Platinum or 1794

Have any of you added these to your 1794 or Platinum models? I would leave the small 1794 badge as is (on upper part of door), but also add the "Tundra" raised black letters on each side in the same lower position as on Limited models (see attached photo). Just curious if anyone on the forum has done this and were you pleased with the look.

    Thanks in advance.

Give it a try, its all personal preference. On the 1794 badge, you can plastidip on the truck or remove the badge, paint it and then reattach using 3M tape.

My truck is a 1794 and I debagged altogether again personal preference.

Not mine, but here is what another 1794 guy did to his badge

With the badges removed it makes for easier cleanings.

Did he personally create that or purchase this badge? If so, any idea where from?

He modified the original 1794 badge. There are 2 ways this can be done. Remove the badge from the truck, the badge is 2 pieces the “1794” parry is plastic welded to the back side. You would have to cut those welds then you can paint the main body of the badge and glue the 1794 back on. 2nd would be plasti-dip the badge on the truck then using a toothpick, peel the plasti-dip off each number on the 1794. Watch a few Hyper-dip how to vids in YouTube.
