Any Limited trim SILVER 1st gen tundras out there? Want to see the paint-matched grill

I've been looking for photos of a SILVER first gen double cap tundra in the limited trim so I can see how the paint match grill looks on the Silver truck. Can't find a single one. Did they not sell the Limited in this color? Not a fan of the chrome but i also don't like the aftermarket options. Would like to keep it OEM.

circled back to this thread... I'm specifically looking for Silver 1st gen Tundra with Limited trims. Can't find nor have I ever seen a silver 1st gen Tundra with a paint matched grill. It's all chrome.

 

When I bought my '05 back in Oct. '04, I'm pretty sure silver was only available in SR5. Which is why I went with grey, as I wanted the Limited. Not sure if it was the same "silver is only a SR5 color" for '04 and '06. But I don't recall offhand ever seeing a silver limited 1st gen.

 

Here's a quick edit. Mine are chrome, but tried to quickly match the paint. IMO the chrome looks really good on the silver.

 

I don't like "blacked out" trim but I strongly feel that yours would look better blacked.

 

Definitely don't want to go blacked out. I don't like the way it looks against silver. Matte dark great wouldn't look so bad. Honestly the chrome is growing on me. I have the same truck as you

 

That looks pretty dark good. I might try a dark grey plastidip on the chrome so I can easily remove it if I don't like it

 

I've entertained it, but something just looks right about the chrome on silver and keeping it "period correct".

Also there might be a wheel change in the next couple weeks haha

if you want to paint the grill this is the best I’ve seen. Keep the emblem chrome or silver though.

 

Yeah, I don't like that at all. I would be interested in what darkening the chrome looks like. I agree that the chrome on silver looks good. Much better than the color matched you mocked up.

 

I think a brushed aluminum vinyl or silver carbon fiber vinyl would look good too.

I thought there was something about bumpers here in Texas, but I just did some googlin' and nothing turned up.
