    Too many, but not enough....
By yourself a hybrid for everyday driving. With my wife's hybrid getting 55 mpg average and my trucks 15, we at 35 mpg fleet average:)

Away from my home in NorCal and visiting Longmont, CO, where gas I got 87 octane for $2.09. That's almost $3.00 per gallon less than the SF Bay area.

Loved the "move to United States" part. So true. I did put my stock rims/tires back on before I sold her. Drove for a couple days. Definitely better mileage, but only by a few miles. Needless to say, she is gone. I miss her dearly. Kind of like the ex girlfriend that we all have and os the one we all miss!

I bought a Rvian R1T. It is cool, but it is not a Toyota. It is the first non Toyota i have owned in 30 years. I can definitely appreciate the Rivian and a lot about it, but I really do miss the Tundra. But I still have my 2007 FJ Cruiser. So I get my fix.

Nice to see those numbers. I didnt think my tires would have made such a difference, but apparently they did!

I bought through my business and took a huge write-off on it. So my cost is sliggtly different when factoring my tax savings. Buying a Rivian this year is doing the same. But, I do see myself going back to the Tundra in couple years.

I sold mine for $54,000. Paid $65k. So that is a $12k hit. But I also got a $14k+ refund last year so it not too bad for enjoying her for a year.

I used Shell or Costco. Always premium. I didnt do that much research in actual mileage. If I had, I probably would still have bought it. But when gas is $6 for a good while here in SoCal, it was really expensive to drive. I put 18,000 miles on her. Spent clost to $7000 on gas last year. Gut punch!

Um, yeah. California slow lane is averging 70 mph. That simply isnt feasable here. Plus, this trucl loves to cruise at 75!

What does your $14k refund has to do with loosing $12k on your Tundra?

Your income got lowered by $12k because of the loss associated with selling Tundra, so if you pay about 20% effective taxe rate on your income, then claiming this $12k loss would have gotten you no more than $2500 in tax savings.

Are my calculations correct? Thinking of selling mine too but can't convince myself as I'll be down $15k or so. Business truck as well

Non Hybrid 24 Limited here and I get better gas mileage than my 2011 Tacoma.

I don't know all the numbers but I know I got a legit refund last year. When I sold the truck this year it counts as income towards my business. But when I pay off the loan it counts as profit out of my business. And then when I bought the rivian I'm allowed to depreciate it as well. Between the tax credit I get for the Vivian and the depreciation I will be able to take my CPA said it's about a $20,000 tax savings. That stuff is way above my pay grade to figure out. That's why I have somebody do it for me.

I'm sure I lost a little money at some point but it just didn't make sense for me to keep paying as much as I'm paying in fuel. I also needed additional write-offs for my business this year so it just made sense.
