It’s pretty sweet. The drive by wire takes a few minutes to get used to but once you settle in no issues. I like the hybrid wheel yoke too.

Yeah, I could get used to the hybrid wheel. The standard yoke would drive me crazy

    agreed

the yoke wheel, on the MS, would be more digestible if it was drive by wire.

it's goofy to make a sharp turn.

I received an email from Tesla to configure a Cybertruck. Short timeline for the dual motor, but it gives a mid-late 2024 delivery estimate for the Cyberbeast.

Not sure I would pay an extra $20k for a foundation Cyberbeast ($120k vs $100k). This price does include a few extras like FSD and Powershare Home Backup though.

At 1,800lbs it still leaves 700lbs of payload left but yes, it is an air suspension so it can actively adjust to the weight.

My comment wasn't meant as that particular scenario. I'm just waiting to see the overloaded trucks that still sit level with idiots saying "Looks fine to me" while they do it.

Sorry if this has been answered before, there are so many pictures I got tired of waiting for the posts to load.

As an EV renter you can go to any Supercharger and charge the Tesla. It still recognizes the VIN and bills Hertz directly. Hertz will turn around and bill you the exact amount they were charged. No upcharge. It will take a few days to get that extra charge on your card on file with them.

    Edit:
They also include the 110V standard charging cable with the rental and the adapter from other charges to the Tesla.

I rented a Y LR while in San Diego on vacation over Labor Day weekend. I knew I wanted one but decided to test my ability to adapt to a "strange" environment and see if I could do it without getting stranded or yelling at the wife or kids.

We stayed at the Hilton in Mission Beach and they provided some 110 outlets in the under building parking. They had faster charging available but you had to valet the car to get it.

Challenge excepted! We stayed in SD for 6 days and never used anything other then the free 110. There were like 8 Teslas in the parking lot and three 110 outlets. I got lucky enough to get one everyday. No cost fuel was pretty cool. We went to visit some friends in Temecula doing 90'ish with the AC on full blast and were able to recharge over night and into the next morning. Granted that was the longest it went on the charger.

As for buying a Hertz Tesla...no thank you! The paint on my 22 with 35k miles was thrashed and so were the wheels.

    IMG_2364.HEIC.jpg

PPF is absolutely worth it on a Tesla. and 6k from the factory for ppf or a wrap is cheaper then out in town. I was quoted close to 7500 for an X and 6500 for a Y. My quotes were for PPF so if wrap costs more for the product then its an even better value.
