In September 2023, we purchased a brand new Tundra TRD Pro 2023.

Second half of december was spend touring Utah, Idao, Eastern Oregon etc., Even got a service done in Oregon because we hit the 10,000 mile mark and would be almost at 12000 when home back in California.

The dirt tracks did not have snow, unusual I know, but due to the warm storms most of them had 1-2 inch deep mud. Nothing crazy. No fancy stuff or offroading required, an AWD sedan would do those muddy dirt roads.

But, this meant that everything was covered in mud. Gave a washdown after coming back, and washed the undercarriage a bit too, though not exhaustively.

Noticed that truck was pulling left a little bit. Was not sure if it was in my head or real, and decided to go get an alignment check, since alignment is supposed to hold till 12000 miles/1 yr.

At the dealership, they said it would be covered if pull left is due to alignment.
Guess what, after a check it was indeed out, and it would be paid since there was mud on the suspension components.

This is a TRD Pro. Leaving on another long trip, and did not want to end up with chewed up tires, so got the paid alignment done.

But just a PSA, make sure you wash your truck before going for any warranty coverage, who knows what other warranty they may void if not washed!

Typical eastern oregon muddy track. No rocks, no crazy articulation, just sweet old mud.

Just had to pay $165 for alignment at the dealership myself. They said they'd only cover it up to 1 year, and I was at 16 months 10k miles total. Truck pulls to the right very slightly and my stock tires have uneven wear on the corners...

Funny enough they couldn't complete alignment on one of the wheels as my cat shield was blocking access, and said I can bring it back with cat shield security key so they can remove and re do it... At least won't charge me extra

Truck never been off-road or driven aggressively...

Anyone that takes ANY vehicle to have work done and hasn't cleaned it first, deserves to get screwed.

    UPDATE :
I contacted toyota brand engagement. They mentioned while offroading does void alignment warranty, service roads which are muddy are not really offroading. So they are sending me a check for the amount! Great service from Toyota Corporate!
