My plan here is to run 285/75/16 tires on SCS f5 16X8 -25 wheels

This will not be my DD, but more a weekend, camping, adventure rig. Maybe sliders one day, maybe an aftermarket steel rear bumper, but no swing outs and no aftermarket front bumper or winch.

In the near term, I'd like to have a camper shell and in the summer run a RTT. Down the road, I'd like to get a lightweight slide in camper like a 4 Wheel Camper Hawk, but that's not happening anytime soon. Any off road driving will be fire roads, double track and the occasional light "trail".

I've gotten some suspension package quotes from a couple vendors. Both recommended the Dobs IMS shocks up front, one with Dobs springs and the other with OME 2885 springs. Rear shocks OME were recommended to handle the added weight along with an add-a-leaf for 2.5" of overall lift.

Are the IMS shocks overkill vs the GS59-22 w some Dobs springs to match for 2.5" of lift? It would certainly save me some coin to go with the latter and I've read good reviews on here, albeit from someone in a 2nd gen.

I'm also open to any of the Bilstein offerings such as the 6112s. If there's anyone who has run both Dobs and then Bilsteins, or vice versa, in the past, I'd love to hear the comparisons. I'm trying to be budget-conscious here so I can also afford proper UCAs, a diff drop and sway bar extension links.

    Thanks.
