Has anybody installed or have any recommendations for installers doing the TRD 3" Suspension Lift Kit installed in the DFW area? Specifically on the 3rd Gen Tundras.

If you want to share any total pricing that would be awesome as well.

I'm still weighting out my options. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What are you asking about? What kit is being installed. If its just shocks it really isn't bad doing all 4 corners yourself and then just going for an alignment. The labor cost varies greatly depending on the kit so a link or better description would help folks give you an idea.

Basically, just looking for shops in the DFW area that are doing the install. Is everybody going to the dealerships or using some of the local offroad shops do them?

Not familiar with 3rd gen suspension, but my guess is that it’s no different from 1st, 2nd gen Tundras, Tacomas, 4runners, etc. With that said, most mechanic shops should easily crank it out in 2 to 3 hours tops, but many don’t like doing it with customer supplied parts. Off-road shops are usually more tolerant of customer-supplied parts, but they’re also very busy doing pricier, likely more profitable, custom jobs and so may be backed up. Your best bet if you don’t want to do the install yourself is to ask on one of the local Tundra facebook pages. I usually see local shops routinely recommended on there.

Forgot to add, I wouldn’t take it to the dealer since their rates are usually higher than most independent shops. I know of two mechanic shops in DFW that would likely do the work without complaining about customer-supplied parts, but they’re usually pretty busy and may take a while (sometimes several days) before they can start on it after you drop the truck off. These are Hondoworks in Balch Springs, southeast of Dallas, and Hall’s Tire Shop off Pleasant Run in Lancaster, south of Dallas.
