Had about 4” of snow yesterday topped off by some rain. Went for a Timmies coffee with the pups and of course got stuck going up my driveway.
Luckily, my LX450 is off-road equipped and was able to winch the Tundra up without too much drama…

Wanted to also mention there are no tow hooks on the Tundra. Not sure if there should be some from the factory or not, but it appears there are threaded holes in the front of the frame rails for them. Luckily, I was able to get a strap between the steering rack and front crossmember.

    Pretty things
Looks like you got things handled.

My Tundra has 2, factory recovery points under the front bumper. I am surprised that Toyota sold any Tundras without them.

    ...you should add some :)

Previous owner most likely removed them.

Yeah. Probably. The guy was a GMC mechanic, which I assumed would be a good thing, but honestly after working on the truck this past year, the guy was a monkey when it came to repairs/maintenance.
Shortly after my daughter purchased it, it would have a vibration after accelerating from a stop. It got worse and worse, so we took it to local mechanic. He discovered that the PO/mechanic installed the two new heavy-duty leaf springs on the wrong sides. This pushed the axle rearwards which caused issues with the driveshaft and carrier bearing. He swapped the springs and installed a new bearing, and no more vibration. I will say I did notice that the rear wheels did not look centred in the wheel well and was going to start to look into it myself, but would have never have guessed that the springs were backwards. I could go on and on about other things he did, but that is for another time.
