Anyone have their sway bar link brushing their suspension. I have about a finger clearance on the passenger side but on the driver side I can slip a sheet of paper between them.

Had my truck aligned recently so took it back to the guy that aligned it. He said if he creates the space needed the truck will not be aligned.

There are sway bar spacers. Some just shift the bar down near frame mount which may not help you but some spacers also shift the bar forward a little. My driver side is close but no evidence it ever hits the shock so i haven't spent the money on spacer.
This image is off a Tacoma but same idea of a spacer to shift bar down and forward.

Yea I have a spacer on mine currently which idk if it was the previous owner who placed those there with his block lift or when I got my 5100s installed.

turning left I’ve been getting this noise. Wondering if it’s the sway bar hitting.

Out of curiosity, what settings are your 5100s at? Highest for the 3"-ish lift, or lowest for near stock height?

Looks like your sway bar end bushing in the lower control arm is shot, 3rd photo you posted?

You’re the first one to tell me that, I’ve gone to a couple shops (and the one who installed my 5100s) and most of them have told me it’s an alignment issue or they tell me that it hasn’t hit so not to worry about it. The alignment guy said he could try an alignment to a certain way where the sway bar would move away but it would end up not being the correct alignment for the truck.

I’m stuck with what to do.

Could take the sway bar off and drive w/o it? You'll know if it making that noise in the video.

Yea you’re right, I’ll try it out. I don’t want to end without a sway bar though, but I’ll give it a go and see if removing does not cause the noise. Thanks!

it does look like the end of the link in the lower mount is skewed within the mount. possible it could be the picture making it look that way but I'd take a quick look and see how it looks.

I've got the 5100's at their near-stock setting, I can take a picture of my links later and you can compare, things should be not-too-terribly dissimilar. I'll take pictures of both sides for your comparison if you'd like, you should see if your driver/passenger sides are the same as well.

Aight so we got both sides here. I would say there's oh, about an inch clearance on the passenger, half-inch clearance on the driver, that's hard to capture in photo, but this is my truck parked straight onward on my driveway with a slight decline toward the front of the truck. Pardon the surface rust kindly shared on my 2016 from MN salty roads.

So my takeaway is that the drivers side just seems to be a little closer, but still has clearance for range of motion, I'm not worried about anything hitting. My 5100s have been on the truck for what, 10k miles now? And there's no marks from anything bumping or striking anywhere.

I wonder... I wonder if your swaybar may not be centered? Could it have moved, slid in the bushings perhaps? Can you get to it under your skidplate if present to measure that? My TRD skidplate covers it all up too much to see.

It could very well be the angle of the pic, I had a steel sleeve let go in the swaybar end on my 1993 Toyota land cruiser and it made a ton of racket.
