I used to have to go to AZ once a month for work. Mainly Glendale, and Scottsdale. I always stayed in Scottsdale. Loved it there.

Maybe get a houseboat in Scorpion Bay? No yard to take care of, close to offroad trails, and probably some decent scenery 4/5 months out of the year. Plus you get a front row seat to boat ramp fails. Pretty hard to beat IMHO

We are closing in on times when living anywhere near a major metro area is becoming an absolute shit show...

Within reason, I'd say pick somewhere to live that makes you happy and has the resources and recreation that you need and want to participate in; stay at least 100 miles from away from any large Metro area and 200+ miles if it's a port city...

No such thing as a tax free state; you'll pay taxes one way or another... the more you pay to the state the less you pay to the feds, so :notsure:

Being surrounded by BLM land can definitely be nice, but just be cautious of eminent domain issues w/land considerations...

Wait... YOU LIKE Snottsdale? No offense but maybe I am talking to the wrong person, sounds like you are a big city type of guy. I am NOT looking to be in the middle of all the shit like Denver has to dish out nor any of the other large cities.

I don’t mind the Dale. You can get some nice big spreads up near Troon North/Pinnacle Peak. Take forever to get to the grocery store but that’s what Prime 2 day is for..

    Guys,
Just so you know, you can throw away the Allen wrench/hex key that came with the furniture you assembled.

I just throw those in my drawer with other wrenches. Nice to have if ever needed. Tools are prob the only thing I will not throw out. I also collect nuts, bolts, screws etc and have those divided up in a bin

My goal this winter is to finish organizing my garage and go through my 40lb box of random fasteners and get those into something easier to dig through.

    TOO F@c& you say..:smack:

How can it be a "Throw all Box/basket" if it is well organized...:notsure:

My kids found out at an early age "How to find things" rummaging through Dad's "Extras" draw or bin and to this day know anything can be

"Fixed" out of those boxes ......

Case in point; grandson lost the screw for the battery case to a new game at Christmas, My daughter asked where the "Misc" drawer is &

was told same place when you were growing up... Marched out to my garage and

found a replacement screw...The LOOK :eek2: on my grandsons face...Priceless

Now my tools & toolbox are OCD organized but spare parts ; NOT.... My son found

my 1st edition VW manual in with my body fasteners. Collection..

while searching for license plate bolts...:fistbump:

The screws / bolts / nails are all in a plastic container with dividers. Small screws, medium screws, long screws, nails, washers, bolts etc. That’s how :smack:

    Thats an organized collection,

Harbor freight has one of those waiting for me..

I'm talking those extra pieces from furniture completions, spare screws when you take something apart but find it beyond repair., you want the

"Newest" Muffler bearing but can't throw the old one away.... I have 6 volt VW parts that have come in handy/useful on the 6 volt golf cart..

40 years later  bottom drawer of my toolbox still has parts for a "Wet Kit" install for my dump Buckets...:hattip:
