I went with a set of 5 new tires and sourced another TRD Offroad alloy wheel, and I've been looking for the right adapter to make dropping the spare for my 5-way rotations with my onboard impact driver easier. Found just the thing on my second try!

7/16-Inch Female Pipe Plug Socket for $6.75 shipped to my door from Amazon.

Perfect fit, right over one of the two male ends of the extension piece of our OEM spare tire tools. Call me lazy or whatever, but this is just the thing for simplifying dropping the spare!

A few... Definitely more than 2
You can also put a 3/8" square drive inside of the larger flare end... I don't remember if the extensions work the right way to drop the spare like that but I used that to spin the bottle jack for some work I was doing.

I opted for this solution because the way the flared female end of the tools is shaped, but I did make that work before, just didn't like the slop. Prefer a snug fit!
