Question on what would cause the fuel pump to fail 4 times and need replacing. Every couple of years during winter the pump start to make a buzz sound and the truck starts hard. Unless I just leave the key on a for a while to 'build pressure'. Sometimes the truck tries to start then finally cuts off. Any idea on what could cause this over and over? It was replaced under warranty all those times just out of warranty now.

    Thanks for any ideas!

No performance issues wants running though. Figured if it was the filter it would be sluggish or inconsistent while running.

Replacing the pump will last over a year with no problems, sounds or anything. Then out of no where the buzz noise comes back and hard starts happen. Not sure if it electrical thing or what. Just curious if anyone else had this issue before.

Do you often run your tank to nearly empty of gas? If so, your pump may be subject to repeated overheating that shortens its life. The gasoline in the tank isn't just fuel, it is also used to cool your pump. Don't know if this is your situation, just a possible explanation.

That would make sense but I never run under half a tank.

OEM or aftermarket Chinesium? I would only use Denso parts for this.

77020-0C120 TUBE ASSY this is the model sent from a friend at the dealership. I would rather not use the same thing that has died over and over.... any ideas on something better quality maybe?
