Recently purchased a set of used deaver K37 leaf springs, shackles (unkown brand but I believe camburg?) and new u bolts as a package deal. The guy said he got the u bolts off Amazon. I have a few questions. How do you know when the deavers would need rebuilding, I would love to just throw them on as is due to monetary reasons and time crunch but am worried it may be squeaky or negate the benefits of the pack. They appear to be in somewhat good condition some of the friction pads look a bit chewed up but overall still have a positive arch and bushings look good to me. Is it something really worth doing? I was hoping to throw these in this upcoming friday as I start school the 7th and am kind of on a time crunch. Anyone know what the turn around time for a rearch at deaver is. I will attach photos once I am home of all the components. Also what is the correct length of ubolt so I can measure them and make sure they will work. Thanks for any feedback!

How long were they on the previous truck? How was the truck used? I doubt they’d need a refresh honestly. Let’s see the pics.

From my understanding, they may not last too long on your CM. Better suited to the lighter weight of a standard or double cab. I’d be concerned about them flattening out quickly if they’re not yet.

The U748 is recommended for and of the smaller cab trucks if they’re loaded heavy on a regular basis, and all CrewMax.

Might be worth a call to Deaver and ask if they can provide any additional leaves?

Unkown mileage, I bought it off a guy who was going to run them and decided to save for long travel, apparently he purchased it off a guy that ran them for around 1,000 miles and he purchased em off a guy that ran them for 2,000 miles lol I know thats kind of a lot but I think that makes me the 4th owner of these ahha gotta do what you gotta do!

I dont tow anything ever really I spoke to deaver and they said they put the warning of "not for crewmax" because of the flattening out but he said other than getting a custom pack built the k37 is a better option for mid to "high" speed unloaded desert driving which is my goal. the other option being the u748 also sean at kaizen recommended k37s for my application saying the u748s last longer with a positive arch but will be really harsh with anything under 500lbs in the bed.

Not too concerned with the choice selection as beggers cant be choosers so I am happy with the k37 pack as of now just didnt know if it was worth the rearch and rebuild or just to say screw it and run as is. They look in decent condition as they sit but noticed some of the friction pads are a little wonky and are not parallel to each corresponding side (some pads sit more in the middle on one pack and the other pack they seem to sit more toward the eyelet) Also u bolt length anyone? 99% sure the shackles are camburg but can anyone else chime in? Thanks

Pack looks fine to me to run and that shackle does look like a camburg piece.

I’d say if you’re going to be running light, you’re likely good to go! Those shackles look good, and nothing about the spring packs look out of sorts to me.

You’ll need shocks that are the correct length for these. Lots of good options out there, but I’d be saving for some bypasses if you’re looking to rally.
