That second paragraph made my brain hurt:

I understand the frustration, but even if everyone follows the rules 100%, trails and land still get shut down anyway.

But yeah, taking a BMW mud bogging is pretty damn dumb.

 

Maybe a construction helicopter could lift the vehicles for the least damage? With the idiots paying every penny of the cost, plus fines.

They're totally at fault, but I strongly believe the stupid commercials that show all these wannabe offroad SUV's are capable of going anywhere aren't helping any. F**king commercials show Land Rovers climbing steep scree slopes while passing hikers! Stupid shit.

Those of us that have been wheeling for years know our limitations and skill set. These idiots have zero experience and thumb their nose at regulations if they even bothered. Makes ALL of us look stupid.

 

I equate it to the chumps who go to Yellowstone and try to take selfies with the bison and get gored…..then they put down the bison for absolutely no reason. Respect the rules and the habitat and we can all coexist. Otherwise play stupid games win stupid prizes. Make it $100k fine for anyone disregarding the rules and actually enforce it.

I had to read a short years ago in school. I cannot remember the name, but the storyline was basically about how American vehicles are getting so big with iconic names like Denali. Something about egos and how they are hyped for the most rugged of people. But, it turned out the author was making fun of it and the school used it as a "make you think" lesson, combined with who really read it type thing. Of course, I said they were pro it, so I failed since i didnt read it all... LOL. thats why it stuck with me all these years.
