Wake up TPMS?

Preparing myself for mounting my new tires and have a question.

New tires, new wheels, and new TPMS sensors were all mounted and balanced over a handful of beers this evening. Didn’t have the truck with me, so no install yet.

I have all of the TPMS ID codes written down so I can enter them in Techstream. I’ll figure out how to add the fifth one since I have a matching spare…

Here’s my question:
Do I need to do anything to “wake up” the sensors? I’ve heard the term, but don’t know much about it. I have Techstream, but will I need anything else? Rub a magnet on the valve stem? Nothing?

Like I said, I’m just making sure my ducks are in a row before I slap everything on the truck.

 

Anyone have an experience they can share where they installed new TPMS sensors at home with Techstream?
Is it easy peasy, or will I also need to hit a tire shop to get more help?


Worst case, I suppose I register the new codes and head to DT if it doesn’t work…
