Hi all, new member here, longtime member over at Tacomaworld. I am thinking about upgrading to a larger truck. I bought a travel trailer last year and although the Tacoma pulls it well enough, i would like an easier time especially for longer trips. So, the search has begun.

Welcome from Texas! I know that the Taco (at least used to be) rated around 5k. What TT did you get? We’re simpletons and love our Coachman Clipper.

Just traded my 2022 Tacoma for a 2024 Tundra. Loved my Tacoma, but this new Tundra is amazing. I would absolutely recommend the change. Take one for a test drive. Its quite a difference.

I bought a used 2017 wolf pup, all loaded around 4000 lbs, so nothing major. Payload is where its killing me on the tacoma. it doesnt take much to go over the limit with basically nothing loaded for the trip on the truck. i have loved my 2015 Taco Off Road, but payload is around 1050 lbs. Looking at the spec sheet for the tundra some are rated a little low, but still another 600 lbs at least on the Taco.
