It's a waste of money. Your stock setup is already a cold air intake.

My 2008 Tundra 5.7L has it since new: Can't imagine it wouldn't fit your 2007 also.

Once again....waste of money and purely cosmetic. Look into the SABM.

Good advice. I’ve tested a ton of intakes. None make power on 1st or 2nd gen tundras.

3rd gen is a different story!! Tons of power with turbos!!

that said, stock air box mod, or sabm…. I second this advice!!

How about with a supercharger? Picked up a full pound of boost on a supercharged Tacoma going to an afe. How about the tundra?

    Too many mods to come

Supercharged tundras benefit from the larger intake and sabm but the intake is a mix depending on the blower. The one to have is the magnuson airbox. The airbox benefit for us also related to the larger tube for the maf voltage

Anytime you make an intake improvement when supercharged, you’re making an improvement in power.

That said, you’ll typically have to retune the ecu when changing intakes on a supercharged truck. The mass air meter calibration is based on the intake diameter. Without a retune afr, shifting, etc. will be incorrect. Your truck will drive poorly and potentially have engine damage.

What blower + pulley are you running or planning to run? What power levels are you looking to achieve?

It depends on what is the restriction before your blower is; filter + intake + throttle body.

I haven't seen anyone in the supercharger thread identify the filter as a restriction, yet...

Certain pulley+blower combos come close to maxing or are maxing out their stock intake diameter MAF readings, Harrop + 80mm is one example.

Gains to be had matching or exceeding your intake and TB vs blower opening.

That sounds like the way to go. Didn't realize the magnuson came with larger box and tube. Thanks.
