    Hey Guys,

I'm struggling with this one here. I've got a 2014 5.7L Crewmax that will lose cruise control and drop out of "D" or drive while driving, but only on the dash display. Once I take over and apply the gas I can still drive and the transmission shifts like normal. I can do highway speeds and slow all the way to a stop, then continue to accelerate like normal, I just won't have cruise control as an option and the "D" light is off. Sometimes it will flicker intermittently, but it does not do it every time I drive. When the "D" light goes off, I can't shift to "S" and manually shift. That won't work at all, but the auto transmission will shift as needed and I can continue to drive. I'm running into a wall with this. No codes being thrown, doesn't do it all the time, had a reputable mechanic look at it probably six months ago and of course it wouldn't replicate the problem. Today I was at least able to get good pics of what it is doing. Appreciate any help or advice.

Had the exact same thing happen to my 2014 with 140k miles on it. It was transmission position switch. It was odd because the issue came and went. I would have no back up lights, or back up camera, and the check engine light would come on. I forgot the code it would throw—maybe 705?

I had the dealership fix it as my usual shop wanted nothing to do with a transmission code. I just got my truck back yesterday but it seems to be fixed for now.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't seen that code or had the other issues with the lights and back up camera, yet... Since I made this post it has only done it on one other drive, every other trip it's been normal. Go figure...
