I have a 2014 Tundra Limited. When I bought it used, the previous owner had removed the OEM stereo and climate controls and replaced it with an aftermarket touch screen unit. There are no instructions online for the aftermarket touchscreen unit and there is no switch or option to turn on the heated seats (I've looked for an hour). I've confirmed that my seats definitely have the OEM heater pads, but I need some way to turn them on and off. The Toyota heated seats work with a CPU module under each seat which is controlled by the Climate control switches.

So I have a couple questions.
    1. Is it even possible to wire up manual switches? Meaning, is the OEM climate control console absolutely necessary to control the heater coils on the seats?
    2. Does that under seat control module work with other Toyota model seat heater switches (e.g. I also have a 2019 highlander with manual roller switches (not in a climate control console), and the under seat control module.)
    3. Does anyone know how to use the OEM wiring to install aftermarket rocker switches to control the OEM seat heaters?
    4. Does anyone have the wiring diagram which explains the wires in more detail? (I've seen a couple diagrams, but none that show which wires do what.

I've checked with multiple local companies and none of them will touch this. They suggest ripping out the perfectly good seat heaters and doing a total replacement.

I only have your questions to go by to judge your level of electrical knowledge. My suggestion would be to return to a stock head unit if you want heated seats. It can be done keeping the current head unit, but you need a way to communicate to the modules under the seat in a manner that they can accept. You may be able to find a head unit to do this. I would avoid "engineering" an untested solution. Heated seats can be a fire hazard if not properly controlled.
Someone with more specific knowledge feel free to chime in, I could be totally wrong.

You should be able to trace the wiring for the heaters….cut and splice in dash switches
