    Lots of stuff!
One member found out his tail light were broken from rocks getting past the rear fender liners and hitting the tail light housing. Not covered under warranty. I did notice a large gap between the frame rail and fender liner that could allow a rock to get past and hit the light causing a crack and then water destroys the light fixture.

My 23 Crew Max is completely stock with OEM mud flaps and is trashed in front of the rear wheels. I got a quote to repaint and took it to the dealer. They informed me that they are not going to do anything because it is considered "environmental damage." If anyone has had any luck with getting a better solution from the dealer, I would greatly appreciate that information.
This is obviously a design flaw and/or paint issue. I am planning on getting running boards, to slow the wear, but this does not fix the issue.

I was just informed my off rd branded truck is not covered due to environmental damage of driving on forest service rds.

So if we need bigger flaps what are the options (that they should be providing)?

All this reminds me of the shitty design of the previous Gen Nissan frontier.

I have running boards on the way, and contemplating spending over $300 on rokblokz (to get them into Canada) to try and avoid this.

the Tacoma and previous Gen tundras have the box inset from the cab and this was never an issue.

Rokblokz and running boards. So far in the limited winter we’ve had on the east coast it’s keeping the area in question clear of buildup.

To the original poster, I would recommend PPF on the hood, headlights, fenders, front bumper and grille....My PPF guy could only do the "mustache" and not the inner grille on my Platinum due to the complexity of it....And I have a few minor dings already in the grille (6K miles) ....Its gonna happen, I recommend keeping your distance whenever possible...Also WHAT kind of roads are some of you driving on to get some of the chips already in your new Tundra?! I'm like....DAMN that's a lot....this isn't a Tundra only issue....ANY new car or truck, you drive on sanded and graveled roads and the damage is going to happen....I recommend these mud flaps for the Tundra, they are wider and longer than the ones that come on the Tundra new....MY platinum didn't come with any and they look OEM and keep debris off the truck!

It’s most definitely a design flaw. My Tacoma and 2020 tundra did not have the bed side out past the cab in its design. Like I said previously, the old Gen frontier was terrible for this as well. This is regarding the bed side paint chipping in front of the rear wheels.

One of the first things I did, was put xpel ppf on all the leading edges - front bumper, first 18" of hood, lights, a-pillar, fenders, mirrors. And door jamb painted steps and door handle cups. Only chips I have.. is interestingly enough random ones(like 2 or 3 total) on the pillar in back of the rear door. must be from stones flying around as I drive down the roads from other vehicles. I'm at 12,500 miles now.

I've also done this on my audi, but went with a full hood ppf on that one, as it slopes down fairly good from the windshield.

I've used xpel for quite a few yrs on other vehicles, and find that this is the best way to protect from road chips. Also, if you put it on your lights, you won't get the yellowing after 8-10 yrs (I keep my vehicles that long typically).
