I have a 15 tundra platinum. This summer the truck got stuck in mud and the 4x4 wouldn't engage. For about a month after that the 4hi 4lo lights would sporadically start flashing. When flashing the 4x4 was inoperable. After about a month the lights flashed constantly.

First I replaced ABS/Speed sensors, no change. Then I replaced hub assemblies, no change. Then I replaced axle wiring harness, no change. I then replaced complete axle assemblies, still no change.
My buddies scan tool comes up with LR speed sensor circuit open. No continuity to abs wiring under hood...

    Codes are C1333 and C1241

Did you check the speed sensors by the wheels? Those wires are thin.

Surely more to the getting stuck story than your letting on. Replacing entire axles and harnesses for a wheel speed fault code seems extreme.

Yes, the first thing I did was replace those sensors.

Not much more to tell. I was driving across my front lawn, not realizing how soft it was. I started to spin which immediately dug a hole. I then tried to put in 4x4 with no luck..

You replaced your hubs and entire axle assemblies blindly to chase a light??

I did. No one can seem to figure this out and now I'm driving it uninspected. Trying to get it resolved before I get a ticket.

I'm guessing that the ticket would have been a lot cheaper than new axles. Are you having a shop or dealer working on it?

Complete Axles from Dorman aren't much more $ than those sensors were.

It's been to 3 different shops. I was trying to avoid the stealership but it's looking like that's the route I'll have to go.

Ah gotcha. Yeah it's sounding like it's going to have to be a dealership since it's turning into a mouse hunt.

On the positive side, you have new axles lol
