Have had the truck for over a year now, for the most part I love it and haven't had any major issues. BUT, today while on the highway, while traveling around 65mph I did a hard enough acceleration that the truck was forced to downshift but not enough to engage the turbos. I felt (seat of the pants) and heard a "chunk" when the transmission downshifted. It was loud enough for me to turn down the radio and attempt to duplicate it again (it didn't). On the return drive on the highway, I tried again to replicate the feeling/noise and was able to replicate once albeit not as loud or severe as the first time I experienced it today.

    Anyone else have similar experiences?

Truck was just at the dealership....I have to assume that they applied that "fix"

They won't do this specific TSB unless you specifically complain about the clunk sound on cold start, and even then they may not know about this TSB or will try to reproduce it... Which is very hard as clunk sound is random... You'd have to go there, tell them about the clunk and insist on doing this specific tsb.

I'm not saying this TSB will help your highway acceleration clunk, but it shouldn't hurt

I just had that TSB done and I had to specifically ask for it to be done, hell I had to tell them the TSB number. It also is supposed to address a dead pedal issue when accelerating from a rolling stop. They said it reprogrammed the torque converter and I think it does engage quicker and give better response but it could just be me wanting it. It did fix the clunking sound I'd get sporadically at startup that was definitely coming from the tranny area.

Did your highway clunk after a hard acceleration get fixed? I have noticed the same thing.
