Anyone here into trail riding SXS’?

Did an excursion on my last cruise and really enjoyed it. So did the GF. I’ve rode sport ATV’s before, but if I can find something she’s into maybe I can do weekend trips every month or so.

Really want a 4 seater so we can take the dog, but man are these things expensive.

    Any suggestions or recommendations?

No complaints with my 4 seat rzr. They are all mostly the same thing. Expensive toys. Lots of fun though and way better to wheel than a truck in my opinion. Costs the same as a truck but capable right out of the gate and doesn’t need a bunch of mods to make it functional.

    I'm no expert, but I won't buy a Can-Am.

Honda and Yamaha are solid choices though.

I’ll agree with that. Ford’s of the sxs world. Cool as hell looking though.

What kind of riding are you wanting to do? Do you want a sport machine or more of a utility machine?

If looking for a sport machine that is extremely reliable but won't be the fastest in the desert, check out the Kawasaki KRX1000.

My cousin has a Yamaha Wolverine 850 four seater. That thing is down right a blast! It’s incredible how well it eats up the rocks and root covered trails at speed here in the northeast. Expensive however, like you mentioned OP.

I equate Yamaha to Toyota, nothing fancy or super technology laden, but does the job damn well with excellent reliability. I have owned many problem free Grizzly’s that I maintained well but beat the snot out of.

I really like the looks of most sport UTV’s. But I probably don’t need that much.

I’ve been looking at Segway Villian (sport 2 seater) or their UT10 (utility 4 seater). I’m also in touch with someone selling a 2017 Rzr XP1000 Highlifter for just under 14k.

I’ll probably use it once every month or two, so I don’t want to put anything more than that into it.
