I’ve read and read about how to and what to use to seal between the cover and cab on the Crewmax.
    • Pipe insulation -Stuff in the gap, several attempts, differing sizes, will not stay in place.
    • Bike inner tubes - N/A for a full window seal on this generation truck
    • Pool noodle -bullet number 1.
Is the seal that fits on the cover window worth the price? $7ish/ft
    Does it work?

I can’t help but think there’s a sensible way, but haven’t discovered it yet.

    Any ideas from the group?

Just to clarify - are you talking about covering the gap between the truck cab and the camper shell?

If yes, then anything that touches your paint, will eventually rub through the trucks paint as the bed is not exactly moving together with the cabin when driving and some rubbing will occur... That's what I found after researching this topic

Yes, ARE (cover) to (truck) seal. I’m not able to keep any of the above mentioned material in place for longer than a few miles.

May I ask what's the reason for trying to cover that gap?

Did you try fat bike tires? A regular tube is not big enough to seal between the camper and cab.

Get two and cut open and glue ends together with gorilla glue and tape.

Any 26x4" tubes will work and others have done it successfully with the full roll down crewmax window...

Got it. Do you have dogs in the back or other pets?

Well, just keep in mind that bed and cab are not moving together when you're driving, so you will eventually damage the paint as whatever you will install will rub against the paint.

    Something like this?

Inflated tubes will sit in the window opening and not touch cab paint. You can also install PPF to avoid paint damage.

Thanks - I’m a cyclist but didn’t think of gluing two together. Appreciate the help!

Finally got around to finishing this - test fit today, I will try it out tomorrow when we travel. I’ll clean it up once satisfied with fit. I do believe it’s a good fit and solution.
    Merry Christmas everyone!
