Over the past week of driving I’ve noticed my 4HI light flashing, ABS light on and the traction control light is on.

I have unplugged the battery for 30 minutes hoping it would reset and it did not.

I went to an auto parts store for them to read the codes and they said they can’t read anything because the check engine light is not on.

Any help or suggestions would be great.
I’ve heard maybe transfer case actuator, or some sensor related.

When was your battery last replaced? Did they test your battery?

Could be battery, abs sensor, wheel speed sensor. Lots of threads on here with the symptoms you’re describing.

any work done to the wheels lately?

An OBD reader will narrow down the problem. Get an OBD reader ($20) and scan your own codes and tell us what it says.

This is such a common issue, I think it might be in the wheel speed sensor harness somewhere> Currently have the same issue, wonder if you can put the truck in and out of 4wd.. mine won't unless I shut it down and restart it.

That's what he tried to do

Did they actually physically hook up the scanner or just say what you stated here?

Battery has been checked, all good. New tires were put on last month. They just said they can’t really read the scanner because my check engine light is on.

When I first start to accelerate it feels like something is trying to spin (maybe go into 4hi) and then when I brake the brakes become mushy and then after a minute they brakes work fine again.
