Has anyone run into a situation where their truck will crank over like a banshee, but not start? I'm sure it's somehow connected to my Viper remote start system (though I am not sure how I'd prove it), because everytime it happens I have to remove the negative cable from the battery momentarily, I guess in effect resetting the system somehow, and then it starts just fine. I've been doing this for years now. When it first happened it was literally 20-30 minutes before the truck would start (didn't know to remove the neg cable at that point). Seems to happen at least once a week or more.

You have been dealing with issue for years? And never considered removing the aftermarket remote start to see if it is the cause? I would have put up with that nonsense once or twice before I would have to figure out the cause and rectify it.

my 2007 did that twice, and I figured out the neg battery cable trick, and it has never done it again. I do not have any kind of remote start. No idea what the cause was. it has been about 4 years with no repeat.
