Just upgraded to 295/60/20s and I'm rubbing just a little on the frame rails near the cab mounts when at 3/4 full turn. See photo... am I ok to grind the circled area to fix this? The underside of the rail doesn't seem like it would be structural given the bolt holes are there. I only need to take off maybe 1/2" at most.

Cab mount chop ( also known as body mount chop, CMC or BMC) is pretty common for fitting tires on these trucks. There are a few plates on the market to cover up the cut area. You also have relocation kits on the market.

It looks like you already cut the mount but there are non-permanent less intrusive approaches you can take too but they may all not work in your situation since every truck is different. Shimming the bumper gives you more room in the front, with adjustable upper control arms you can push your wheels forward away from the cab mount/body mount. Wheel offset also helps when stuffing larger tires on these trucks.
