Who's got dogs? Post your pup!

Posted in a different thread, so I figured I'd post here too. Right now for the holidays, we have 2 fosters, 2 dog sitting, and 3 ours. Can you guess which is which?

Santa is thinking, it's more like.... 'Man, I am sexy AF!!!! I wonder why I'm not pulling more bitches'

 

Yeah, littermates stay together. Ride or die, as they say.

Let's just say they're not all there. Great dogs if you want something lovable but I'm more used to working dogs' temperament.

With that said, I would recommend one for someone who wants a good companion and light activity.

 

W had a blue heeler and a yellow lab growing up, both were very driven. The cattle dog Akc titled in agility. We had pasta parties in HS for swim team, and the dogs mouth would be bleeding from these boys throwing the ball allll night for them.

 

My wife has a great weakness for strays. She gets upset sometimes when we don't stop for one, she's resigned that we can't save them all. I have to point out to her that there's houses all around, that dog is fat and is probably just roaming. We have picked up some that were close to their home and would have been fine, But...
out on a drive yesterday on an old forest service road, no houses anywhere close we found this ol' girl.



No, she did not wander out there, she was dumped. Local humane society doesn't take strays (BTFOOM). We called our vet to have her checked with the intent of bringing her home. She had a chip but it was never registered. We found that she has multiple issues and was less than 5 lbs. Hip issue that cause walking troublesome and she has tumors. She's not a good play mate for our two 90+lb great Pyrenees mixed, we feel like they would have been too rough for her. Long story short we were able to find someone to take her in, they have 10 small older dogs and it's their thing to give old dogs the best they can in their end stage. So now she's curled with 9 new buddies, blanket, food and water instead of being a light snack for whatever would have undoubtedly gotten her.

I hate SOBs who dump dogs!

That’s awesome you took care of her and found her a home.

 

My wife's condo had mirrors on the sliding closet doors. Our dog would always open them up trying to find the guy in the mirror.

 

We are still unpacking from moving in (5 months ago), and this is the first time he’s seen a mirror at his level. Funny as hell. Dude is such a goober.

Yesterday he put up over 28k steps on our land and was pooped out. Trying to get a friend for him. Unfortunately we got passed up on an adoption for a puppy. He keeps trying to herd the barn cat outside lol

 

We have 5 or 6 nice dog beds around the house and this is where she prefers to lay.

Our household has always had dogs. The current crop: My young GSD "Luka" and my daughters older Pocket Pit "Chino". They have tough lives... LOL.

This little female is going to be a truly exceptional hunting dog. She’ll be 11 months old in 2 1/2 weeks.

 

He will be 15 Valentines day. Shedding like crazy.

 

My pups are growing like weeds.

Good thing his tux still fits after gaining a bunch of weight.

We do walk him 2x / day for a total of 3.5+ miles and he does agility stuff in the backyard, but he’s been getting a lot of treats lately.
