So when I first bought my 2019 tundra from the dealer it showed range of 610 but ever since I left the dealer the highest I ever saw was 410. I have the big tank and about a mo the ago my battery died and I replaced it and now my fuel gauge is back to 610 range , can anyone tell me why ? Dealer has not helped at all

That's typical. My '21 showed 580 or something is a potential "max" after a fill-up when it was new. As your truck begins to learn how many mpg that it's actually getting it will continue to curate that number. The dead battery reset that "learned" fuel range. It will go back to the 400s like you are used to seeing here in a tank or two.

Related oddity that I’ve noticed with this across multiple Toyotas, it seems to recalculate mileage if you drive the tank lower. I usually fill up between 1/4 and 1/2, and generally see roughly the same max range at each fill up. If I drive it way low, like to 1/8 or less I’ll usually get a higher max range at that fill up. It might just be coincidental as there are other variables, but something I’ve noticed. I’ve seen OP’s issue too when battery is disconnected.

Today’s fill up, 38 gal. tank, top tier 87 grade. There’s a Sticky Thread ->> 38 gallon tank experiences. Check it out. IMG_5557.jpg IMG_5559.jpg IMG_5560.jpg

It's just calculating based off average fuel economy. What was your average fuel econ for the previous tank?

You answered your own question. @memario1214 hit it spot on. It was the new battery. It resets on your mileage and DTE. Don't you worry though, it'll go right back to normal after a couple fill ups.

For what it's worth, I usually see 469 every time I fill up. 38 gallon tank and I refill usually around a half tank.

Dealers can help with a lot of things but when it comes to these oddities, unless the person you're dealing with has a Tundra themselves, they won't have a clue.
