    I was really just a caretaker for about 4 years. Came out of LA from the second owner. He had every record since new.

    Another question I have for you that I thought of last night but didn’t remember until now… I noticed the FJ glove box door on the side of toolbox for glove storage. I thought that was a nice custom touch. I then noticed the snap on FJ 40 logo. Was that box a specific FJ 40 homage from snap on?

    Thanks for the compliment. No I enhanced the original Snap On badge. A couple of additional photos of the back and the other side where I added the ashtray;

    The tool box idea came from a love of old Toyotas and old Snap On tool boxes. The box is a 1971 Snappy and the more I looked at the rounded corners the more I thought of the rounded quarter panels of a 40. That was how the idea was born.

    I originally had plans of stripping/painting the box in a Toyota color offered in 1971. I decided against it and thought the diamond plate (so common on rusty 40's) made more sense.

    My name is Randy and I have a Toyota problem.:)
