Need advice, dead head unit replace

    Alright folks, 21 limited and the head unit died. 2 months past warranty of course.
    Searching Crutchfield for replacements. Buying everything for steering controls, etc.
    My question, will I just use the amp outs and connect to my existing amp? Currently it’s set up with Maestro (?) and whatever else was needed. Will I just get rid of all that stuff?

    Maestro doesn't come with factory head units.

    Trust me, I understand. I can build a 2 story house out of kindling and 3 nails. Automotive audio, obviously not my strong suit.

    So in talking with Crutchfield, it appears that the wiring harness out from the head unit should seamlessly run the amp, DSR1, etc. thoughts?

    Crutchfield is local to me. They have stores in Charlottesville and Harrisonburg VA. They’ve been doing audio for a long time and typically know their stuff.

    I have a second Gen, so I don’t know about your setup, but I’d trust their recommendations.
