First, my dealer and I have issues going back to 2007 with oil leaks covered under warranty that takes them 4 years to find. It’s a long story, but….

My 2023 iMax is leaking oil on both sides of the block. This is the third oil change I’ve had done, the first was done by a great local foreign car mechanic and the last two done by my dealer.

First oil change was done with about 1,100 miles on it, we were leaving on a long trip to the beach and I wanted to get the factory oil out of it. Im an old guy and my experience goes back to the ‘70s.

When we returned after 5 weeks of beach driving and 6,500 miles on it I had the dealer change the oil at my 5k checkup. They managed to screw that up and I had to take it back.

I took it in a month ago for the recall and they went ahead and did the 10k service. I was fine with that, it was only a few hundred miles early.

Now my truck leaks oil on both sides of the block. Bigger spots on the right, about 4” in diameter and drips about 2” in diameter on the left.

This is my first 4x4 truck and first turbo. Thoughts on where the leak might be from please.

    Lots of stuff!
They probably did what I did and spilled oil on the skid plate. Then there was a bit of residual oil dripping of the skid plate for a short time.

There isn’t too much else that they could have done to make it leak.

Potentially overfilled and the higher oil pressure is causing it to leak maybe? Have your pressure gauges been reading normal?

Definitely weird that its leaking on both sides after the oil change. Pics would be helpful if you can.

Have read of only one reported leaking valve cover so far. Could be both? My bet is spilled oil dripping down onto the skid plate and spreading
