    Good Evening All

I assume this has been talked about before but here goes anyway
What is your warm up routine when its about 20 degrees or colder
Coming from from a big machine operator Im in favor of almost a full warm up on my 3rd Tundra
I realize the tolerances on diesel and gas are different but the warm up principles may be the same. I believe there may be some statistic out there that says the majority of wear may be on cold weather start ups
I can see the manufacturer not promoting 10 minute warm ups , bad selling point. So as you can see Im in favor of long warmups
Will be interested in other peoples opinions and most importantly WHY

    Looking forward to the responses
    Thanks
    mike

I live in MN, in the winter I use a remote starter because my commute is so short my truck will not get up to temp by the time I get to work. it wastes gas but at least the truck is up to temp and warm when I get to work. In the Spring, Summer, Fall, I usually let the engine warm up 1-2 minutes, in the winter at least 5 minutes. The Toyota oil I use is 0w20 which is perfect for cold weather.
