My buddy and I installed 2 CBI covert bumpers on 2 separate 23 limited tundras. The install went smooth and we did use all of the shims. When we reinstalled the grill and front plastics both trucks don't seem to be clipping in the plastic under/around the drivers headlight. They appear to clip in but after a drive they protrude a little and need to be pushed back into the light. Everything else aligns well and there is no rubbing on the covert bumper.

Has anyone else experienced this? I will try to grab a picture later and post it.

Looking at installing a covert bumper on my '23 limited tundra. Curious if you ever found a resolution to this or if you have any recommendations.

I have not found a resolution, but I have not tried to address it yet either. It doesn't stick out that much and im wondering if I adjust the gap to the hood and the bumper it may settle

Thanks for the pic. Yeah that’s not terrible but a little annoying. I’ll do some more looking before I pull the trigger on the covert

I replaced the front bumper support after some road kill damaged mine upon reinstall of the bumper cover all the clips were undamaged but there is a small gap like yours pictured my guess is if you loosen all the bolts and play around with the positioning you could get it a little tighter but not worth the risk of breaking any clips etc. I’d just leave it no one else will notice.
