Alright, so got my brakes due soon. Brakes have been feeling soft and rotors have shuddered while braking. I’ve narrow it down to running OE rotors, but still need help deciding what pads to run.

Thinking about EBC Yellow Stuff, but I know they’re dusty and can wear quickly. What other “decent” options are there?

I still run stock pads again but I liked the feel and extra bite of the Toyota TRD pad when I had them. Still OE design, quality, and reliability with better initial bite and stronger stopping performance. Reasonably priced as well (maybe $10 or $20 more than standard Toyota pads). Factory rotors have worked wel for me.

I have not tried anything else on the tundra. If the pedal is soft, plan on flushing the brake lines. I will be installing stainless steel hoses soon as well; many have recommended them for a more positive pedal feel.

I've had warpping with the oem rotors. Tried powerstop they too warped within a month. Tried OEM again with no luck. Been running Raybestos r300 rotors with the element3 pads for the past 2 years. Even with high speed stops no warpping!

The r300's do a good job.

Just put Napa premium rotors and Powerstop Z36 pads on. Been great so far, no noise and great bite

If memory serves, Akebono is/was an OE parts supplier for brake pads. We harms an Avalon that akebono=OE.
