Anybody updated their speakers on a non jbl radio? Any links to some speakers known to fit would be appreciated. I tried searching and a thread in the audio page - no responses. Crutchfield don't have any listed and oemplus haven't released a 2022+kit yet.

Be interested to add one small subwoofer behind or under the rear seat also.

6.5s fit all around, with adapters, and the dash will fit 3in speakers on sides and middle. The fronts are a 6x9 and the rears are 6.5, I believe stock dash is 2 3/4

Small sub under passenger seat, fits there too. Also, I copied all my CD's in FLAC format to Flashdrive, lossless/optimal digital sound. Toyota Infotainment system picks it up seamlessly with sortable folders by Artists, Genres, Songs, Albums, etc. Sounds particularly sweet with any sound system upgrade.

which software did you use to convert to FLAC and what version of USB drive did you use? The files can be huge for lossless audio so just wanting to do the same and wondering if the usb port on the dash reads 3.2 or 3.0 usb. Seems like audio quality suffers with the car play and I don’t want to keep my phone plugged in

You may want to try upgrading to midbass speakers. I've converted my Volvo to Kenwood head unit and Focal ISS/ICU midbass speakers/tweeters combos and decided to stop there. No need in subwoofer. I hear just everything. The sound is hands down better than it was in wife's ex-Volvo with Harman Kardon 2000 W sound system.

When I want an even better sound, I want to be not driving, sit in comfy chair in my living room by the fireplace, with a glass of glühwein or Courvoisier, and listen to JBL L16.

I perhaps should do the same with my Tundra.

USB 2.0 is enough for FLAC.

Windows media player has a convenient FLAC (lossless) RIP CD setting. RIP and copy. Was able to get more than fifty (50) CDs on one 32GB flashdrive.

appreciate it, have a few 3.0s on hand so just trying to see if it would work or not. Pretty sure it should since just using it to read but my Silverado was very picky

I just upgraded my entire non JBL speakers including the tweeters in the dash. I got infinity tweeters for the dash - 6x9 Kickers for the front driver and passenger side doors and 7" Kenwood for the rear speakers. Also added a Kicker 10" hideaway subwoofer. I have to tell you the upgrade is a night and day difference! I had a local guy do all of install for $300 and he did an amazing job. Going to get an amp installed next.
